one to one

Private tuition offers a level of attention unable to be offered within a group class environment. This may be of interest to the beginner seeking to build a strong foundation that will allow them to move forward in their exploration of yoga in a confident manner or possibly to someone well versed in the subject, who may find valuable some help exploring the more profound and quiet aspects of the subject. From the more physical beginnings all the way through to the quieter progressions private tuition allows the practice of yoga to be focused to whichever direction ones interest may lie.

health and wellbeing

It is of course very possible to utilise the understandings and techniques of yoga without necessarily practicing the subject itself to it's traditional end. The practices of yoga, and the understandings to which they point, were designed to address the common predicaments encountered within what it means to be a human being. I have found yoga to be one of the few truly holistic subjects, seeking to bring health and balance to the body and the mind, leading eventually to a peace felt at ones innermost core. In today’s busy culture, balance in many areas can be lost very easily, these practices may allow us to sit a little more at ease once again.

If you would be interested in getting together this way we will use only very simple and basic physical practices but bring attention also to diet, relaxation and the breath, all things that are used within yoga. These will be put into everyday context and using everyday language. This may be of use to anyone who feels lacking in energy, may suffer from stress at times or even those who suffer from depression. We will build some healthy practices into our daily routine based around yoga principles but without necessarily seeking to practice or understand the subject in its totality.
