Moving the Furniture

The practice we are engaged in most of the time is exterior design, we are continually moving our furniture around. We take the furniture of our lives and move it this way and then that way, we imagine if we get it in just the right place then we will have it all worked out. We think we need more money, more sex, a different relationship, a better way of living. Then we think we should arrange it another way and so we become celibate, drop out of work, change relationships again. However no matter how many times we move the furniture of our lives, there is still something missing, we still feel a little unfulfilled. The frustration encountered in the furniture business is not however wasted, for it is at that point, when the unfulfilling nature of things is recognised, that we ripen and become able to look more deeply into this moment and see what it is, and who it pertains to
